Welcome to Winchester Cocoa Company. I was inspired to start the company by my love of fine chocolate, food and flavour experimentation. Chocolate is a wonderful product to work with - It is simple but also takes years to fully master.
The philosophy for our business is straightforward - Keep things imaginative, authentic and simple. We create chocolates using natural ingredients and no artificial flavours or preservatives, giving them a less sweet and more natural flavour. Our chocolates are handmade in small batches and we source chocolate couverture that has been traded fairly (or ideally directly) and sustainably.
The journey is a labour of love. I've been working for a year developing flavour combinations and sourcing ingredients. Along the way I've been inspired by classic and modern flavour combinations, by British and local produce, and the techniques of the classic European chocolatier to create a range of filled chocolates for our launch range of selection boxes. Over the next twelve months we'll be creating more flavours and broadening the range of products. We hope you'll join us for the ride!
